Obituary Condolences

Morton W. Rosen, age 94, beloved husband of the late Vera D.; devoted son of the late Louis and Sophie Rosen; dear father of Steven (Chickie) Rosen and Laurie (Dr. Gerald) Halpern; respected "Poppy" of Dr. Chip Halpern, David (Dr. Silvia) Halpern, Jodi Rosen, Rebecca Halpern Wassermann and Tracy (Dr. Jonathan) Williams. He was the adoring great-grandfather of Rachel and Sam Wassermann, Riley and Blake Ablin, Paxton, Harper and Madden Williams and Abigail and Joshua Halpern. Fond brother of the late Alvin and Orville Rosen. All of whom he loved dearly. Mr. Rosen was born and educated in Chicago and graduated from Northwestern University. He built one of the largest Ford dealerships in the country over his 52 year career. He was nationally respected by the Ford Motor Company and chaired both Ford and Lincoln Mercury Dealer Associations as well as being past president of Chicago Auto Trade Association. He was a Past Treasurer of North Shore Cong Israel in Glencoe. He moved full time to West Palm Beach in l995 and was active in many local charities, a member of Temple Israel and on the Advisory Board of Good Samaritan Hospital. He was buried in West Palm Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to JCC Women's Auxiliary, attn. Shannon Healy, 30 S. Wells St., Chicago, IL 60606 or Am Shalom, 840 Vernon Ave., Glencoe, IL 60022. A memorial service will be held in Glencoe on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 3:30 p.m. at the Am Shalom, 840 Vernon Ave., Glencoe, IL., with a reception to follow the services. Info.
