Peg Blossom Obituary
Age 94, passed away March 18, 2013 in Evanston. Born in Chicago on October 15, 1918 to Truman G. and Louise (Victor) Lively. A 1936 graduate of New Trier, she married Richard Flick Blossom on August 30, 1940. They settled in Wilmette and had 3 children. She earned a bachelors degree in art from the U of I in 1970, and her masters in art education from National Teacher's College (National-Louis Univ) in 1976. She taught art for many years in the Golf School District. She had some of her painting displayed at the Art Institute in Chicago. Peg loved gardening, swimming, baking and wearing big colorful hats. Peg was preceded in death by her husband, Flick; brother Tom Lively; and son-in-law Sam Hudspeth. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Ann (Hudspeth) of Tucson, AZ, sons, Steven G. (Gwen) and David F., of Wilmette; grandchildren, Greg (Sharon) Hudspeth of Hampton, Maine, and Gabrielle Blossom of Peoria, IL; 2 great-grandchildren; and one nephew.
