Richard Dunbar Obituary
Richard (Dick) Norman Dunbar, 82, passed on Wednesday July 30 at his home in Wilmette. He was born to Harold and Pauline (Bigelow) Dunbar in Evanston, IL in 1931. In 1952 he married Nancy Joan Kendrick. They started dating in high school and always loved each other deeply. In 1956 Dick graduated from Purdue University with a chemical engineering degree. After a few years with large corporations he owned a series of small businesses. At the time of his passing Dick was working as an illustrator for patent applications. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy. Dick had a generous spirit and often went out of his way to support and mentor others. He is warmly remembered by family and friends, and will be missed. Dick is survived by his sons Richard Jr. (Dessie Arnold) of Columbia City, IN, Scott (Tina Swindle) of Camarillo, CA, Lee (Lisa) of Libertyville, IL and four grandchildren, Evan, Hailey, Philippe and Patrick.Memorial services will be private.
