Robert R. Dryzmala Obituary
Robert R. Drzymala, age 85. Died peacefully after almost seven months from Pulmonary Failure at Rainbow Hospice Ark in Park Ridge. Born in Chicago,May 30, 1927. Loving husband of the late Leona; beloved son of the late Rudolph E. and Irene P; dear brother of Grace Masin of Merril, WI and the late Bernice Davis of Tempe, AZ; caring godfather of Linda (Lee) Mayer; fond relative to many nieces, nephews and cousins; dear friend to many; companion to the late Nora. Attended weekly Mass at St. Constance Church. WWII Army Veteran served his country in France. Worked entire career at Western Electric (now Alcatel-Lucent) in Chicago. Member of VFW Post 3579 Park Ridge, American Legion Post 541. Avid camper founded (with Gene Schaffner) club for TrailManor Camper owners, the Trailblazers, 20 years ago. Honored a "Lifetime Membership" from club that now has over 1400 chapters nationwide. Member of "Telephone Pioneers" Camping Group and "Those Were the Days" Radio Players. Enjoyed bingo, collecting outhouses, meeting friends at HIP Plaza, senior luncheon gatherings, and chicken and rice soup on Sundays with dear friend Ted Johnson.
