My sympathy to all who mourn the passing of Tom
Although we didn't have the years of opportunity to spend much time together I will truly miss Tom. Upon our first meeting I felt immediate trust and enjoyment in being with him and a feeling that he was responding in like manner. There aren't many people that can elicit that kind of feeling.
Realizing that Tom will no longer be around to give a welcome wave, smile and a friendly little intelligent discussion no matter when or where will be a real loss to me.
I will certainly miss looking for him as I go by in the future to go fishing as I have most afternoons in the past couple of years. But I know I will still look over and think of him as I do that. That illustrates the amount of respect and feeling his Christian character has created in me to feel for him.

Since the day I met Tom ten years ago in such uncertain circumstances between his heart attack and his transplant, I could quickly tell that he was a wonderful guy surrounded by a strong, loving family. As I came to know him for the man he really was, living life to the fullest at home in Minocqua with Mimi, I grew to love and respect both of them as my "other" parents. I am not sure what Greg is going to do without Tom to talk his ear off about construction, trucks, politics, etc. when we come visit Mimi, we're really going to have to entertain him ;) Heartfelt sympathies and love to all of you - you're in our thoughts and prayers.

Didn't know Tom well, but well enough to know that he was a fine community member, a hard working member of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Family Church, and a wonderful husband and father. Our deepest sympathies.

Roxanne and Rhonda, I was so sorry to hear about your Dad. I know you probably don't remember, but the first car I ever had was a green Mustang that I bought from Mary and Tom. You were such a nice family and took good care of my nephew Patrick. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your Mom, and your family at this most difficult time.

Tom what more can I say that wasn't said in the letter I sent to you before you passed. You were such a good man. I can't imagine what my life would have been like with out you, Mary, Roxane, Rhonda, Pete, and Grandma Mikalautsch. Give Pete and grandma a hug from me and tell her i am still whistleing at the girls whoot whooo.

Love you
Patrick

I will remember the love you gave so unconditionally. Tom met Patrick when he was just 4 weeks old. I couldn't have asked for a nicer man and family to watch over my son. Tom was the dad that Patrick didn't have at the time. Tom, Mary, Roxanne and Rhonda were Pat's family while I worked. Tom took Patrick under his wing and taught him so much. He took him everywhere. I think he also taught him to like White Castle Hamburgers (yuck!!), but I won't hold that against him! They spent a lot of good times together. Tom helped Patrick to grow into the man that he is today. I am so thankful that Patrick had Tom in his life. I will forever be grateful to him and Mary.

“Tom, I will remember you.”
Love
