William Jackson Bennett Obituary
Bennett, William Jackson Age 76, of Hinckley, IL passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at his home. He was born on September 9, 1937, in Joiner, AR the son of William Oliver and Louella (Jones) Bennett. Bill was united in marriage on November 14, 1991, in Geneva, IL to the former Jeanine Marie Harner and they spent 22 happy years together. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Mr. Bennett served his country proudly as a member of the United States Navy on the USS Salisbury from 1955 to 1959. Bill was formerly employed by the United States Post Office until his retirement in 1992. Bill loved spending his 21 years of retirement having family and friends over for food and fun in his backyard. He loved to entertain and the more people the better. He also loved spending his afternoons at his "board meetings" downtown. Bill never knew a stranger. He is survived by his wife, Jeanine Marie Bennett of Hinckley, IL; his children, Lori (Scott) McGlinch of Fishers, IN, Lisa (James) Hart of Indianapolis, IN and Joanna (Salvador) Bennett of Hinckley, IL; his grandchildren, Courtney, Ryan, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Chelsea, Sarah, Jason and Grace; his great-grandchildren, Lillian, Mckinley, Madison, Jackson and Monroe; his siblings, Marion (Frank) Kryszenski, Nancy (Curtis) Bennett, Keith (Debbie) Kryszenski; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Louella Bennett; his brother, Larry Bennett; and his sister, JoAnne Bennett Ragan. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 123 S. County Line Rd., Maple Park, IL. Interment will be private. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel, 141 N. Maple St., Hinckley, IL.
