Lawrence S. Marchewka, 73, of Park Ridge, U.S. Army Veteran, beloved husband for 46 years to Barbara Marchewka, nee
Cichon; loving father of Stanley (Mary) Marchewka, Jean (John) Ahlenius and Anastasia Doyle; proud grandfather of Lauren, Brieanna, Corey, John, Isabelle and Joseph; great grandfather of William; dear brother of Robert (Shirley), Joseph (Karen) Marchewka and Christine (Gary) Stine; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Retired Pressman, Local #7. A Memorial Visitation will be held Monday, 12:30 p.m. at the M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago, until the time of Service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Diabetes Association, 30 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 2015,

Dear Barbara, I remember attending so many wedding receptions in my youth where everyone was dancing the polka, and always, my cousin Larry was there, full of life...I am thankful for those childhood memories, and so sorry for your loss.
