DELBERT E. PATTAN 1928-2013 Del Pattan was born in Oceanside, CA on January 25, 1928 to Phillip and Eldred Pattan. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 6, 2013. At an early age, the family moved to Quincy where his father worked for the U.S. Forest Service as a Forest Ranger. When Del was 10 years old they moved to Willows. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1945. He married Eva Covington on Oct. 5, 1947; last fall they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. In 1955 Del and Eva moved to Chico where they raised their children. He was a member of the 20-30 Club and the Elk's Club. Del worked for 32 years at Coca Cola; he retired in Redding in 1986. He is survived by his wife, Eva Pattan; son Dennis Pattan (Alicia); daughters Marianne Pattan Duncan (Darrell) and Julie Pattan Hoffman. He is also survived by his sister Mary Pattan Lemburg (Heinie), 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. His daughter Elaine Pattan preceded him as did his two brothers, Stanford and Wesley Pattan. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, enjoyed playing golf and gardening. Per his request, no services will be held. A celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
