Clyde Edward "Ed"Angles

EAST LIBERTY: Clyde Edward "Ed"Angles, age 93, of East Liberty, Ohio where he lived with his son Gary and family since 2008 went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 28, 2014.

He was born March 3, 1921 the oldest of seven children, to the late Clyde and Muriel (Pittenger) Angles of Jackson County, Ohio.

He attended Berlin Elementary and was a 1939 graduate of Wellston High School. Ed was a veteran of World War II in the United States Army. He served in the South Pacific and was decorated with the Bronze Star. After returing from the war, he continued his education at Ohio University in drafting/engineering. He worked as a draftsman for McNally Pittsburg in Wellston, Ohio and Chillicothe Mead Paper Corporation for over 20 years. He also worked at Goodyear Atomic from which he retired after 11 years' service. Ed was a 50 year member of the Black Diamond Lodge, McArthur Chapter and Jackson Council. He was also a member of the Columbus Scottish Rite and Aladdin Shrine. He was known for his love of family and people. He never missed an opportunity to be in the outdoors enjoying the sunshine; whether in the garden or watching the animals.

In 1952, Ed married his"Doll" Bessie "Bess"Cameron. They had two children, Patricia Maria and Gary Edward. Patricia is married to Eric Vincent and lives in Austin, TX, they have five children, Rudy, Sadie (David) Corrie, Jonathan (Jackie), Hallie, and Addie; they also have two great-grandchildren, Cameron Martin Corrie and Juliet Bess Vincent; Gary is married to Ann (Henderson) Angles and they have two daughters, Marie Roberta and Abbie Muriel, all of whom survive, In addition to his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, he is survived by a brother, Clarence (Faye) Angles; sisters, Wanda Lucretia (Dewey) Leach and Juanita Storer; brother-in law and sisters-in law, Russell and Harriet Cameron and Harold Meade; as well as many loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Hayden, John, and Carl; brother and sisters-in-law, Orin and Lee Sickles, Barbara (Bobbie) Cameron, Sylvia Meade, and Tom and Roma Skinner.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 4-7:30pm with a Masonic Service beginning at 7:30pm at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 1pm with Rev. Dr. Jason Robson officiating at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
