Jeffrey E. Stafford

CHILLICOTHE: Jeffrey E. Stafford, 53, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 21, 2013 at his residence.

He was born March 6, 1960, in Newark, Ohio to Richard E. and Rosemary Janes Stafford.

Jeff is survived by his loving family, his wife, the former Barbara D. Mathys, of Chillicothe; son, David Wesley Stafford, of Chillicothe; mother, Rosemary Stafford, of Albany, OH; father, Richard E. Stafford, of Warner-Robbins, GA; brother, David L. (Dalelene) Stafford, of Albany, OH; sister, Pamela D. Stafford, of Gahanna, OH; mother-in-law, Nancy Bailey, of Chillicothe; nieces, Lexi Stafford, Trisha (Daniel) Rogers and Devin Stafford Brown; nephew, Timothy (Jennifer) Sedlock; and a great niece, Jenna Brown.

He was predeceased by a son, Daniel C. Stafford and maternal grandparents, Thelma and Wesley Janes.

Jeffrey was an electrician for the State of Ohio. He was a 1978 graduate of Ravenna High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Jeffrey loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Scioto Trails State Park (near Caldwell Lake), Chillicothe, Ohio with Jason C. Smith officiating. From the intersection of US Highway 23 and St. Rt. 372, turn left onto 372 and go approximately 2 ½ miles and turn left onto Lake Road. The service location will be a short distance up Lake Road on your left. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Columbus at a later date.
