John H. Kellough, Jr.

SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA: John Henry Kellough, Jr., 88, of Sebastian, Florida, passed away July 17, 2014.

He was born July 9, 1926 in Chillicothe, Ohio, the first of seven children born to the late Rev. John H. and Lola M. (Walls) Kellough Sr.

He married Martha (Barnhart) Kellough in 1952 and they were married until her passing in 1985.

John was a resident of Sebastian for 29 years, after moving from Chillicothe. Prior to retirement, he owned and operated Piping Specialty Co. in Circleville, Ohio. He worked at the Sebastian Municipal Golf course for over 20 years as a range starter.

He served in the United States Army during WWII and was an active member of Mason Lodge 232 and the Eastern Star Lodge 204, both in Sebastian.

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his son, Larry; sister-in-law, Sue Kellough; brother-in-law, Ivan Adkins; and nephew, Scott Kellough.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Judith Kellough of Sebastian; three sons, Robert (Susie) Kellough of Circleville, OH, Danny (Sandy) Kellough of Delaware, OH and Ken Farrar of Chillicothe; two daughters, Louise (George) Mayberry of Pataskala, OH and Linda (Randy) Martin of The Villages, FL; two brothers, Harry Kellough of Indianapolis, IN and Roger (Thelma) Kellough of Circleville, OH; four sisters, Mary Adkins of Waverly OH, Emma (Muriel) Stratton of Chillicothe, OH, Annabelle (Emory) Carper of Londonderry, OH and Ruth Ann (Everett) Alley of Chillicothe, OH; 13 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

John was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 23rd for his family and friends at the Disciples of Christ - 268 W. Water St, Chillicothe. Military honors will be conducted by the Circleville AMVETS Post 2256 Honor Guard.
