NAPLES, FL: Lloyd E. Siberell, Jr., age 86, of Naples, Florida and Chillicothe, Ohio, beloved husband and best friend of Nelva Lee (Atwood) Siberell, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2014.
Lloyd, better known to his family and friends as "Sib" was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on October 8, 1927, son of Mary Jane (Cathcart) Siberell and Lloyd E. Siberell. "Sib" married the former Nelva Lee Atwood, who survives, on August 26, 1950 and they have enjoyed 63 wonderful years together.
He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Julie Ann, in Libertyville, Illinois and by a brother, Thomas Elbert Siberell, of Chillicothe, who died February 20, 2012. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Ralph West (Lorena) of Chillicothe; and nephews, Robert Atwood, Richard (Linda) Atwood and Cimmaron (Cheryl) Wiley; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Wiley, all of Kingston; as well as several cousins including beloved cousins, Joyce Atwood and Mary Graves.
"Sib" was a 1945 graduate of Chillicothe High School and served the following year in the Navy. Upon graduation from Ohio State University in 1952, he spent the next 16 years in agriculture with Ralston Purina and Allied Mills in several Midwestern states. Together he and his wife worked 25 years in the personnel placement business in the Chicago area and then in Fort Lauderdale as owners of Hallmark Personnel of Florida, Inc. During that period he served one year as President of the Florida Association of Personnel Consultants.
As a member of First Pioneer Families of Ross County, he was also a lifetime Elk as well as a member of the Masonic Lodge of Pickaway County No. 0023 in Circleville, Ohio and was a longtime supporter of the House of Burgesses in Williamsburg, Virginia.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014 in Adena Road Church of Christ, 900 Orange Street, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601 with Seth Tinkler officiating. A luncheon will follow the service in the church's fellowship hall. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
