Robert L. Faulkner

CHILLICOTHE: Robert L. "Bob" Faulkner, 76, died unexpectedly at his home August 29, 2014, following an extended illness.

He was born July 7, 1938, in Ross County to the late Robert E. and Myrtle M. (Lutz) Faulkner. On November 23, 1957, he married the former Mary Ann Vollmar, who survives.

Also surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law Kandie (Shawn) Brantley, of Grove City, OH; Michele (Tony) Imboden, Chillicothe; granddaughters Staci Brantley and Sarah (Seth) Garey, all of Columbus; sisters and brothers-in-law Pamela (Don) Smith; and Diana (Larry) Simpson, all of Chillicothe; a sister-in-law Susan Faulkner, of Fairview Park, OH; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother Gary W. Faulkner; and a niece Kimberly Faulkner.

Bob was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1957. He served his country in the US Air Force and retired from Chilpaco in 2000, where he worked in the beater room. He was a member of the First Church of God, was an amateur radio operator, enjoyed woodworking as hobby and loved playing the role of Santa Claus for children.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, September 4, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Roe officiating. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard, will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 5-8pm Wednesday at Haller's.
