Robert Lloyd Woods

CHILLICOTHE: Robert Lloyd Woods, 71, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord at 12:15 pm, March 24th, 2014 at home following an extended illness. He was born April 13, 1942, in Chillicothe, the son of the late Margaret Ethel Willett and Henry Woods. In 1963 he was united in holy matrimony to Geraldine Mae Roe, who survives.

Also surviving are four children, Robert Woods, of Chillicothe, Henry (Jeannine) Woods, of Long Island, NY, Larry Woods and his fiancee, Regina Fultz Williamson, of Chillicothe and Carrie Woods and her fiance, Brad Williamson, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Bryan Woods, Shayla Henderson, Tanner A.Woods, Henry O.Woods, Kelsey A. Fox, Collin Bushatz, Justin Bushatz, Carlie Bushatz, Xander Woods, Jeffrey (Bobbi Jo) Hoffman, Tyler Woods, Austin Hoffman and Breeana Williamson; step grandchildren, Chris and John; great grandchildren, Laila Hoffman, Makenzie Hoffman and Ava R. Fox; several nieces and nephews; former daughter-in-law, Sabhia K. Woods; brothers and sisters, Earl Woods, of Canal Winchester, Florence Tackett of Chillicothe, Rose Ann (Joe) Montgomery, of Columbus, James (Sandy) Woods of Chillicothe, Garry Woods, of Chillicothe, Luther Willett, of Chillicothe and Charles Willett, of Amanda; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bobby Kerr, Jessie (Mick) Hart of Laurelville, Cecil (Ellen) Roe of Amanda, Donald (Dorothy) Roe of Laurelville, Ralph (Debbie) Roe of Chillicothe and Linda (Ron) Cubbage of Greenfield.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Muriel Francis, Mary Kerr and Thelma Tackett; an infant sister; and his brother, Larry L. Woods; and brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, William Francis, Arnold Tackett, William Tackett and Martha Woods.

Bob attended school in Chillicothe. He retired from the Mead Corporation where he had worked for 35 years. Bob served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that he helped raise.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff at Adena Regional Medical Center, OSU James Cancer Center, National Church Residences Hospice and also to special friends, Eddie (Norma) Grubb, Alvin Bethel, Earl (Turdy) Bothman and Lasci Oyer.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating. Friends may call at Ware's from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.
