William H. Beaty, Jr.

CHILLICOTHE: William H. Beaty, Jr. 65, of Chillicothe, died 4:05 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born February 15, 1949, in Monterey, TN, to William H. Sr. and Helen Creason Beaty.

On March 30, 2013, he married the former Donna Lawson Whiting who survives; also surviving are his mother, Helen Beaty, of Galion, OH; children, Alex (Tina) Beaty, of Westerville, Derek (Shelly) Beaty, of Delaware and William Beaty III, of Cleveland; stepchildren, Angela (Ken) Rightmire, Kimberla (Ernie) Large, Terrena Rooker; six grandchildren; six step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; a brother, Rick (Pat) Beaty, of WV; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father; a brother, Terry Beaty; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Beaty.

Bill, a Vietnam War veteran, served in and retired from the U.S. Navy. In addition, he had also worked and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Bill was a member of the Free Holiness Mission Church.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Stanley Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at Ware's from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.
