Abraham Sr., age 86 of Wayne Township, died Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the Georgetown Ohio Veterans Home. He was born December 16, 1926 in Stanford, Kentucky, the son of Otis Verlin and Adeline (Miracle) Wilder. He served proudly in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy and retired as a heavy equipment operator and welder for the company that built the Clermont Mercy Hospital and the bridges along I-275. Abe was a life member of the Wayne Township Fire Department and belonged to the Purple Heart Society, the Blanchester American Legion Post 179, the Milford VFW, a life member of the DAV, the Ohio Operating Engineers and the Blanchester Primitive Baptist Church. His wife, Pauline Wilcher Wilder preceded him in death on Aug. 13, 2010. He is survived by his children spouses, Abraham "Butch" Wilder, Jr., Robert (Kris Minic) Wilder, Laymon (Cindy) Wilder, Tawnya (Robert) Dupuy, grandchildren, Abraham (Jamie) Wilder III, Jacob (Jenny) Christen, Terra (Justin) Grubbs, John Lockaby, Rob Wilder, Christopher (Beth) Harper, Wade Gott, great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Austin Christen, Layne and Nathan Wilder, Carson Grubbs, Austin Harper, Braxton and Shakota Gott, sisters, Christine Eldridge, Jewel Wyatt and Lois Conley. Along with his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his daughter, Terry Lee Wilder and brother Roscoe "Rocky" Wilder. Visitation will be Monday, November 4th from 6-8 PM at Evans Funeral Home, Milford. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 5th at 11 AM. Rev. Joe Humphries will officiate. Burial will follow in the Goshen Cemetery with U.S. Navy Honors at the grave.
