Bonnie Grace Funk, 82, of Wooster, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. Born, January 31, 1931 in Coshocton, Ohio, the daughter of Alonzo Moses and Mary Catherine (Schoonmaker) Steele. She married Hal Funk on September 28, 1952 and Hal preceded her in death on June 23, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Margaret Ann Steele, Hazel Stewart, Anne Langendorf, Mina Burt and Jennie Alberta Barnes. She is survived by her brother, Francis (Betty) Steele of Wooster, Ohio, and a sister-in-law, Gloria Leidigh of Seattle, Washington. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces and great (and great-great) nephews and nieces. She was a graduate of Ohio State University and taught elementary school for 34 years. She retired from Cincinnati Public Schools in 1988 after 26 years. She taught first grade for most of her teaching career. Bonnie was a lifetime member of Hamilton County Teachers and Ohio Retired Teachers Association and was a believer and follower of Jesus Christ by faith.
