Junior Turner went home to be with his Savior on November 22, 2012. Devoted to his family and late wife of 65 years, Marie Turner. Blessed with three children, Ethel Mae Day, Garry (Patricia) Turner, and Rosetta (Richard) Christian. Loved and adored by his grandchildren, Heather (Ron) Hoerst, Kendra (Justin) Siefert, Garry W. Turner, Rose Mahon, Vera Kassen, and Mary Beth (Josh) Tucker. Junior cherished his eleven great "Grandbabies." He was always very optimistic for the future as he led a devoted life to his family. His love for farming endured through his whole life as he continued to work in the fields until he was 88 years old. Junior was a WWII-U.S. Army veteran who received a purple heart while serving with General Patton. Visitation will be held at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home, 177 W. Main St., Amelia, OH, on Thursday November 29 from 6-8PM. Funeral service Friday, November 30 at 11:30AM at Batavia Community Church of the Nazerene, 4650 St. Rt. 132, Batavia, OH 45103.
