Michael John, devoted husband for 24 years of Jane Leroux Hoffman (nee Ackerman) and for 35 years of the late Mary Lou Hoffman (nee Alspaugh), loving father of Deborah (Mark) Hiltenbeitel, Michael (Karen) Hoffman Jr, Mark Hoffman, Ann (Floyd) Vanzant, William (Holly) Hoffman, Andrew Hoffman, and stepfather to Robert Leroux, Amy (Dwayne) Craft, John (Anne) Leroux, cherished grandfather of 17 and great grandfather of 4, dear brother of Sr. Ann Marie DC, the late Leo (Irene) Hoffman, William Hoffman, Joseph (Phyllis) Hoffman, Mary (John) Belting. Following Mike's graduation from the University of Notre Dame he served in the United States Air Force with distinction, discharged as Captain. Love of family and his deeply held faith came first in his life as he sought to put his faith into action. He enjoyed a long successful career with IBM receiving multiple honors. Well known for his kindness, generosity and good humor, he served on parish boards both at Guardian Angels and St. John Fischer. His deeply held pro-life convictions led him to serve as an active board member of Pregnancy Center East, a founding board member of both the Ohio Family Alliance and The Way of Love. For over fifteen years he lended his skills as a volunteer Probation Officer for Hamilton County Courts. He was active in his work with the poor especially through the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and in teaching adult literacy. Golf and traveling were his way to share friendship and adventure. After his long courageous struggle this humble man died June 6, 2013 at the age of 80. Visitation Friday, June 14th 9:30 AM until time of The Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM St. Antoninus Church, 1500 Linneman Road, 45238.
