ROTTGERS

Robert F., 87, of Wilder, passed away on May 20, 2013 at his residence. He was a Retired Switchman with Cincinnati Bell Telephone Co. He was a member of Kersten O'Day Sportsman's Club - Southgate; St. Catherine of Siena Church - Ft. Thomas; the Ft. Thomas Retired Men's Club; Telephone Pioneers of America Kilgore Chapter #3 and the Covington Racing Pigeon Club. He was also a WWII Navy veteran. Robert was born July 28, 1925 in Covington, KY to the late Harry Rottgers and Frances Wessling Rottgers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Sisters, Rose Gutman, Mary Calgano and Edith Kidd and his brothers, Albert Rottgers and Joseph Rottgers. He is survived by his Wife, Wanda June Rottgers, Sons, Rev. Dr. Steven R. (Mary) Rottgers of Kansas City, MO and Rev. Robert A. Rottgers of Melbourne, KY; 4 Grandchildren, Alex (Liz) Rottgers, Peter Rottgers, Molly Rottgers, and Richard Cooper and 5 Great Grandchildren, Henry Rottgers, Troy Cooper, Robert Cooper, Layla Cooper and Jake Cooper. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am Friday, May 24, 2013, at the St. Catherine of Siena Church, Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Burial will take place in the Alexandria Cemetery Alexandria, Kentucky.
