Robert A. Roellig Jr. The beloved son of Robert "Chico" and Kay (nee Campbell) Roellig. Loving husband of Jennifer J. Roellig (nee Smith). Dearest father of Jonathan Lee Smith. Cherished grandson of Marilyn M. Roellig and Betty Ruth Gregory. Devoted God-father of Jessica Roellig and uncle of Bryce Corn. Also survived by numerous family members and friends. He was an active duty Army serviceman for 17 years. He served a combat tour in Iraq as a Scout and 2 combat tours in Afghanistan as a Career Counselor. Other assignments include Germany, Korea, 13 years at Ft. Campbell, 101st Airborne Division "Screaming Eagles" and Ft. Knox. He was a lifetime member of the F.O.E. and the American Legion. He was the biggest Reds fan and a lifelong friend of the 93 year old Reds usher, Ruthie. Thursday, May 9, 2013. Age 42 years. Visitation will be held Monday, May 13 from 6PM-8PM at the Gump-Holt Funeral Home, 3440 Glenmore Ave. (Cheviot) with military honors following the visitation.
