Lt Col Ronald James Webber, age 59, of Central, SC and husband of Judy Earles Webber, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca. He was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana the son of Ruth Rannow Webber of Hendersonville, NC and the late Richard N. Webber. He was a graduate of Ohio State University and earned his Masters Degree from Xavier University. Ron was the Coordinator of Career and Secondary Education with the Pickens County School District and was a Lt. Col. with the US Army Reserves. He served in Iraq and Kuwait and was awarded the Bronze Star while serving during Iraqi Freedom. Prior to coming to Pickens County, he retired from the Ohio School System. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Clemson. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are one son, Mikhail E. Webber of Central; 3 daughters, Marie J. Webber of Santa Monica, CA, Michelle R. (Gary) Schussler of Hoschton, GA and Melissa M. (Jeremy) Tackett of Central; 3 brothers, Richard Webber of Oak Ridge, TN, Raymond Webber of Huntington Beach, CA and Robert Webber of Meban, NC; 2 sisters, Renee Gauchat of Lemont, IL and Ruthann Weil of Granger, IN. In addition to his father he was predeceased by a sister, Rita Francis Webber. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 PM, Monday at St. Andrew Catholic Church with burial. A burial with full military rites to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Sunday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, SC.
