William Edgar Kiel, 78, passed away surrounded by his family in Scottsdale, AZ. He was preceded in death by parents Karl and Virgene Kiel. Husband of Anita K. (McMullen) Kiel for 55 years, he was devoted to his children William S. Kiel, Julie Young (Sidney), Betsy Horner (Daniel) and Michael Kiel (Joseph Errico); and grandchildren Billy and Evan Kiel; Daniel, Elizabeth and Will Horner. Born in Philadelphia May 8, 1935, he resided in Fort Thomas, KY for 55 years until retiring to Scottsdale, AZ. Bill attended Highlands High School and received a BS in Economics from Northwestern University. He served as an officer in the United States Navy aboard the USS Los Angeles. Bill received a Masters Degree in Business from the University of Cincinnati, and worked for Proctor and Gamble for 37 years. A celebration of his life will be held in Arizona April 9, 2014 at 2 p.m. at North Ridge Church in Scottsdale. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or North Ridge Church.
