Waldo Lawrence (Larry) Miner

Asheville - Waldo Lawrence (Larry) Miner, 87, passed away on March 6 in Asheville, NC. Born June 17, 1926, he spent his youth and much of his adult life in the New London, Connecticut area.

Larry served in the Navy during World War II. He received his undergraduate degree at Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford where he met Maurine Bourne. They were married September 16, 1950.

They moved back to Connecticut where he succeeded his father and grandfather in running the family real estate business. Together they raised 5 children: Chris (Gloria) Miner, David (Lynne) Miner, Kathy Harlan, Connie Miner, and Keith (Deb) Miner. They now boast of 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by parents, Waldo Lawrence Miner, Sr. and Helen Goodwin Miner, daughter, Connie Miner, and sisters, Nancy Keenan and Lynn Howell.

In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to the National MS Society, who helps people like Larry's daughter, Kathy.
