Alice M. Chronowski, 80, of Owen Street, Swoyersville, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre. She was a resident of Swoyersville her entire life.

She was born Oct. 18, 1933, in Swoyersville, to the late John Wysocki and Mary Haddick Wysocki Scripkunas. She was a graduate of Swoyersville High School, Class of 1951.

Alice worked in the office of the United Pants Factory, Swoyersville, for many years.

Alice was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Swoyersville. She was a member of St. Mary's Church prior to the consolidation.

Alice was active with the planning committee for the Swoyersville High School Class of 1951. She enjoyed going to the casino and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Dupont.

Her husband, Leonard D. Chronowski, preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 2001.

Surviving are her daughter, Pamela Kruczek and her husband, Edward, Coopersburg; grandchildren, Austin and Morgan Kruczek; companion, Joe Ford; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Swoyersville, with the Rev. Joe Pisaneschi.

The interment will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery, Swoyersville.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
