Cyril A. (Cye) Good, 91, of Dallas passed away Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at his home.

Cyril was born in Larksville on Dec. 23, 1922. He was the son of the late John and Mary Sholtis Good.
Cye was a World War II veteran. He served as a medic with the 16th Regimental Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division. He saw action in Africa, Sicily, the Normandy Invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Silver Star for his actions on Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944.
After the war, Cye went back to school and graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in civil engineering. He retired from Torcon Industries in New Jersey in 1991.
Cye was preceded in death by his wife, the former Gloria Mayeski; sisters, Margaret Paridis and Theresa Evancho; and brother, John Good Jr.
Surviving are his daughter, Jean Tupper; grandchildren, Barry Brutko and his wife, Kelly; and Sheila Jesse and her husband, Bob; great-grandchildren, Emily and Zachary Brutko; sisters, Katherine Harvey and Rosemary Ellis; numerous nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held from Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville. Private interment will be held in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Courtdale. There are no public calling hours.
