David John Krall, 79, of Suffolk, Va., passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, surrounded by his loving family.

He was a native of Pittson and the son of the late George and Sidonia Krall.
Dave served in the Navy as a lieutenant. He graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in chemistry, and from St. John's University with a master's degree in business.
He joined IBM in 1957 as a systems test engineer, and held numerous executive management positions that brought him to many locations, including Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Boca Raton, Fla., San Jose, Calif., and Sumare, Brazil. He retired in 1987 after 30 years. He then worked as a professor at Norfolk State University, teaching computer-aided design before his full retirement in 1997.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Steve, Mike and John; his sister, Ann; and grandson Adam.
He is survived by Romayne, his devoted wife of 58 years; his three daughters, Karen Constantine and husband, Mark, Williamsburg, Va.; Brenda Murat and husband, Bill, Portsmouth, Va.; and Sandy Fodroczi, Alpharetta, Ga.; one son, David A. Krall and wife, Karen, Saratoga, Calif.; one sister, Emily Loughney, Pittson; one brother, George Krall and wife, Mary, Luzerne; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
