John was known to his friends and family as "Farmer John." He was a man of family, a man of the land, and a man of the Lord. He fought the good fight. He never stopped thinking about others. He attended church at Emmanuel Assembly of God Church in Harveys Lake EVERY Sunday, reading scripture, testifying to his fellow Christians, and of course ringing the church bell. His daily devotion was to doing God's work. To quote him, "We LOVE the Lord our God and dedicate our lives and work to HIS glory in Jesus' name."
Farewell for now "Farmer John," we will see you on the other side.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with the Rev. Lawrence Reed, pastor, Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, Harveys Lake, officiating.
