John R. Macosky, 86, of Exeter passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at his home.

Born in Larksville, he was the son of the late John and Stella Pluta Macosky.
John attended Edwardsville schools and was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during World War II.
He last was employed as a bus driver by the Luzerne County Transportation Authority.
He was a member of the Kingston Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Amalgamated Transit Union.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, the former Dolores Margavage; daughter, Joyce and her husband, John Delmar, Harding; grandson, Matthew Delmar and his wife, Brianne, Hanover Township; three stepgrandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Leedock, Courtdale; Betty and her husband, John Kupstas, Plains Township; Eleanor and her husband, Bernard Budrewicz, Edwardsville; and Geraldine Fetchen, New Jersey; a brother Gerarld (Jerry) and his wife, Paula Macosky, Newport Township; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Interment was held privately in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
