Patrick "Jerry" G. Mangan, 82, of Bethlehem passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013. He was the loving husband to the late Elizabeth (George) Mangan.

Born in Ashley, he was the son of the late Patrick M. Mangan and Agnes (McGovern) Mangan.
He served in the Army during the Korean War as a member of the 323rd Engineers Light Equipment Co. Patrick retired from New Jersey Transit as a conductor in 1992. He was previously employed by Conrail and N.J. Central for a combined service of 38 years.
He was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
He is survived by children, Richard Mangan and wife, Charlene, Moss Landing, Calif.; Peter Mangan and wife, Catherine, Bethlehem; Gerard Mangan and wife, Jill, Bangor; Marie (Mangan) Petraglia and husband, John Petraglia Jr., Stokesdale, N.C.; grandchildren, Christopher, Pamela and Caitlin Mangan; Lauren and Celeste Mangan; Sean and Peter Petraglia; brothers-in-law, Peter George and wife, Mary, Shavertown; George Hanzo, Wilkes-Barre; Merrill Fagenburg, Valrico, Fla.; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by siblings, Leonard, Edward, Rosemary, Agnes and Ann.
A viewing will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday. Services will be at 10 a.m. from Downing Funeral Home Inc., 1002 W. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018.
