Robert L. Detrick, 70, of Monroe Township passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born in Sayre, he was the son of the late Howard and Martha Cook Detrick. He was educated in the Sayre schools.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Offset Paperback for 36 years.

Preceding him in death were his grandson, Robert Anthony Detrick, and brothers, Lyle And Don Detrick.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, the former Diane Yankoski; sons, Dean Detrick and his wife, Terri, Tunkhannock; and Jason Detrick and his companion, Barbara Terhune, Clarks Summit; granddaughter, Christina Marie Detrick; stepgrandchildren, James and Alison Wetherbee; sister, Betty Bubniak, Sayre; and Nell Cook, New York; brothers, John Detrick, New York; and Ed Detrick, Williamsport; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Nulton-Kopcza Funeral Home, 5749 state Route 309 (Beaumont), Monroe Township, with the Rev. Lou Divis, rector of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Tunkhannock, officiating.

Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
