William J. Bell Sr., 85, of Pringle passed away Thursday evening, July 10, 2014, at The Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas.

William was born in Luzerne on July 16, 1928. He was the son of the late John and Laura Krapf Bell.
William was formerly employed as a diesel mechanic. He also served as a Pringle Borough police officer and Pringle Borough constable for many years.
He enjoyed polka music and fishing.
William was preceded in death by his wife, the former Dolores Coslosky, and sister, Lois Miskin.
Surviving are a son, William J. Bell Jr. and his wife, MaryAnn; daughters, Linda Kopcho and her husband, Andrew, and Cindy LaFratte and her husband, Joseph; and grandchildren, Jonathan Kopcho and A.J. LaFratte. Numerous nieces and nephews, and a dear friend, Charles James, also survive.
Funeral services for William will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, North Maple Avenue, Kingston.
Interment will be held in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Meadows and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Luzerne County SPCA.
