A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Richard Catholic Church, 1242 Lynnwood Dr., Jackson, Miss., at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2014, for James Donald Westendorf, 82, who passed away as a result of natural causes on June 9, 2014, in Lafayette, LA.

Father Mike O'Brien of St. Richard Catholic Church in Jackson will officiate.

Inurnment will follow on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at 11 a.m., in Port Hudson National Cemetery, 20978 Port Hickey Rd., Zachary, LA.

Mr. Westendorf was born in Manchester, NH on September 10, 1931. He served in Marine Corps aviation units, was posted to HMX-1, and proudly served his country during the Korean War.

Survivors include his daughters, Angela W. Averitt, and her husband and family; Jammye W. Schwartz; and her children; his daughter-in-law, Susan C. Westendorf, and her children, as well as his sister, Doris Watson.
