NORTHFIELD – Aaron M. Hoyt, 32, a resident of Northfield, died Monday, April 14, 2014, from injuries suffered in a diving accident at Smith River in Bristol.

Aaron was born in Concord, Sept. 27, 1981, son of R. Michael and Lori B. (Hunter) Hoyt. He was a life long resident of the Tilton-Northfield-Concord areas. He was a graduate of the Winnisquam Regional High School. He joined and served honorably in the U.S. Army following graduation. He worked as an assistant manager for several years for CVS in Concord and at the same time, was an early riser and delivery person for the Concord Monitor. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a free spirited individual. Family was the most important thing to Aaron and the joy of his life was his 11 year old son Dominick. He was due to be married this summer.
He leaves his parents, R. Michael and Lori B. (Hunter) Hoyt of Northfield; his son, Dominick J. Hoyt and Dominick's mom, Nicole Hoyt, both of Syracuse, N.Y.; sister, Amanda B. (Hoyt) and her husband, Jamie Hinton of Keene; brothers, Tyler W. Hoyt of Franklin and Trever D. Hoyt of Northfield; his fiancée, Alison J. Gould of Northfield; paternal grandparents, Robert C. Hoyt and Marjorie M. (Bucklin) Hoyt of Franklin; and maternal grandmother, Claire A. (Shallow) Hunter of Weare.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton.
A brief committal service with military honors will be held Wednesday, April 30, at 11 a.m. at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 D. W. Highway in Boscawen.
A reception will follow at Thompson Hall, Congregational Christian Church in West Franklin.
