LACONIA - Howard P. "Chuck" Beever, 90, of Boulder Lane, Laconia, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at the Genesis Rehabilitation Facility in Laconia.

He was born in Plymouth, Mass. on July 9, 1923, the son of the late William H. Beever and Lilian F. (Burke) Beever. A longtime resident at Webster Lake in Franklin, he moved to Laconia in 2003. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Air Force.
After a retail sales/management career, he pursued his strong interest in music, performing most recently as a member of the Plymouth State University Symphonic Band, Gilford Town Band and Center Harbor Town Band. As the founding member of "Jazz, Plus," Chuck could be heard at the William Tell Restaurant, The Homestead and Fratellos of Laconia and Manchester.
Predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Rose Marie "Re" Beever of Laconia, he is survived by daughters, Gail Cook and Caroline Connelly; and son, William E. Beever; as well as six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
There are no calling hours and funeral services will be private with burial in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
