PENACOOK - John Ernest Blackler, 78, of Penacook, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013.

He attended the Living Hope Community Church in Penacook. He was a member of the American Legion Post #31, member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved fishing, walking his dogs and spending time with his family and friends.

He is predeceased by his wife, Sylvia; and a grandson.

He is survived by his two sisters; two brothers; seven children; 21 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 1 p.m. at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen., followed by a pot luck reception at his home on 6 Larkspur Place, Penacook.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to his church or the Concord SPCA.
