CONTOOCOOK – Richard "Dick" William Pratt, 70, of Contoocook, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Concord Hospital.

Richard was born July 13, 1943, in Boston, to the late Carl William and Dorothy (Cole) Pratt. He is also predeceased by his sister, Carol Tyson.
He was a graduate of Masconomet Regional High School, Franklin Pierce University, and the FBI National Academy. Richard was a police officer in Boxford, Mass., Montpelier, Vt., and Wilmington, Vt. He was also a teacher at Pembroke Academy, he coached at Hopkinton High School, John Stark Regional High School, and Concord High School, Richard was also a Softball Umpire in New Hampshire and Florida.
Richard is a former member of Hopkinton Fire and Ambulance Dept.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bonnie Lee (Bent) Pratt, of Contoocook; two daughters, Sheryl Meeker, of Northwood and Kristine Blanchette, of Webster; and one son, Keith Pratt, of Contoocook; four grandchildren, Zachary and Taylor Blanchette and Ethan and Brynna Meeker.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, May 18, at 1 p.m. in Contoocook Village Cemetery, Contoocook.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the CRVNA Hospice Program, 30 Pillsbury St., Concord, NH 03301, or your local high school athletic booster club.
