Bruce passed away at home surrounded by his family. He leaves his loving wife Beatrice of 59 years, his children Patrick (Jennifer), Dale, Susan (Mark), and Richard (Eileen) and 13 grandchildren, Ben, Robert, Alexx, John, Brenna, Clayton, Erin, Christopher, Grace, Aidan, Katelyn, Kristen and Kally.
Bruce was born in Oakland, CA. and attended public schools there until moving to San Leandro where he graduated from San Leandro High School in 1947. He graduated from San Jose State University and later received his Masters Degree from John Kennedy University. He served in the Army during the Korean War and after returning to civilian life he worked as Manager for the I.R.S. in San Francisco until his retirement.
He was active in the community volunteering in Boy Scouts for 38 years, starting as a Webelo Leader, Cub Master, Assistant Scout Leader, Leader, and ended as Assistant Leader, coached LMYA boys baseball, Moraga Planning Commission, awarded Moraga Citizen of the Year along with wife Beatrice in 2003, President of Kiwanis and also District Lieutenant Governor, and member of Sirs.
Per his request no service is planned, and in lieu of flowers any donations should be directed in his memory to Hospice of the East Bay or .
