Charles Hull Obituary
Charles E. Hull Jun. 7, 1918 - Oct. 7, 2013 Resident of Benicia Charles (Chuck) died peacefully the evening of October 7th in the arms of his loving wife Marge. Chuck was born in Frankfort, South Dakota, the eldest of six, in a very loving family. After a long career in the Army and the Air Force he retired as Chief Warrant Officer and was awarded the Bronze Star. He served in World War II and Korea. After his retirement he moved to California where he worked for Chevron USA as an electrician and eventually met and married his wife Marge Hooper. Chuck is survived by his wife Mage Hopper Hull, his brother Gordon (Nadine) Hull of Redfield, South Dakota, sister Marian Cramer of Bryant, South Dakota, sister Elna (Norman) Swaney of Willis, Texas and a large extended family of grandchildren and great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was predeceased by his son Rano, and his brothers Henry and Vernon. Chuck was an active member at Community Congregational Church of Benicia, Retired Officers Association, Sirs Branch 19, Chevron Retirees Association and was a Chaplains Assistant bringing good news and the love of Christ to prison inmates throughout the state of CA. Chuck loved the outdoors especially the birds, and his manage cat. He and Marge loved flying in his airplane, travelling in their RV and exploring new places, going as "far as they could go." A service of Celebration and Remembrance of Chuck's life will be at Community Congregational Church, 1305 W. Second Street, Benicia, on Saturday, October 19th at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the church in his name.
