Chuck, 85, passed away at his home with his children by his side. He passed from many illnesses that he battled courageously for years.
Chuck grew up in Portland, Oregon. He joined the Navy in 1943 at 16 years old. He became a Journeyman Plasterer on April 11, 1958, and retired in 1988. He was constantly busy with a hobby.
Chuck married Beverlee A. Jyrkas on February 9, 1949, they were happily married for 51 years. He lived in Concord for over 20 years raising a family before moving to Bay Point, where he resided for 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Beverlee, his daughter Marie, and his sister Patsy Wolverton.
He is survived by his children Ann Nelson, Charlene (Bruce) Bradshaw, and Charles (Landileigh) Nelson III; grandchildren Kenneth Norton, Christopher Fellows, and Holly Nelson.
Chuck was a wonderful man, father, grandfather, and foster father who will be missed greatly by all who knew him. It was important to him to have a family and to be a father. He taught his children that staying together as a family was of most importance.
