Chester Cernac Feb. 23, 1921 - May 8, 2013 Resident of San Pablo Chester, 92, passed away on May 8, 2013 at his home in San Pablo. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Daisy (Klobas). Born in Fort Bragg, CA. he left at 18 to join the Navy and serve in the Pacific during WWII. He retired from the Navy after 20 years and then went to work at the UC Rad Lab. He retired from there in 1981 and kept himself busy with his many interest, cooking, golf, gardening and traveling. He traveled extensively across the U.S., Europe, Australia and especially enjoyed his visits to his native county Croation where he still has relatives. Chester was also actively involved in the local Chapters of the Eagles, SIRS, AARP, the Croation community and especially enjoyed his morning coffee with his friends at the San Pablo Senior Center. In addition to his wife Daisy he is survived by his children Joseph (Bobbi), Marianne, Anthony (Shirley), grandchildren Paul (Tara) and Elizabeth and great-grandchildren Addison and Zac. Also his brother John (97), Alec, Norman and sister Blanch. Also his cat Abby. Chester had an incredible zest for life, learning, adventure and travel and most important love of family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held on May 13 at 11am at St. Paul's Catholic Church, San Pablo.
