Dana Marie Loebel Obituary
Dana Marie Loebel
October 30, 1980 - April 15, 2014
Resident of Walnut Creek
After a courageous eleven-month battle with triple-negative breast cancer, Dana is now without pain and cancer-free.
Born in Berkeley and raised in Walnut Creek, Dana loved being surrounded by family and friends. A lover of the color orange, avid shopper, amazing auntie, and affectionately known as a ninja warrior, Dana exuded an enthusiasm for life that few possess. Dana graduated from Chico State with a B.S. in Health Education and went on to work for Kaiser Permanente as a pharmacy technician. She loved her Kaiser family and had a passion that touched the hearts of many patients.
She is survived by her parents Walt and Sue, twin sister Lindsay, brother-in-law Tony, nephew Mason, aunts and uncles Jan, Dave, Barbara, Bear, Madeline, Katy, John cousins Alex, Kyle, Shaun, Zack, Dylan, Carolyn, Annie, Aviva, Maya, grandmothers Alice and Jane, and her dachshund Dawson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF.org via Dana Loebel), an independent, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to eradicate breast cancer in our lifetime.
We wish to thank all of the loving and caring people at Walnut Creek Kaiser Permanente and John Muir Medical Centers, for the kindness and care they extended to Dana and for all the prayers and positive thoughts provided by so many friends and family.
Dana, you are deeply loved and missed. We love you more than macaroni and cheese and to the moon and back.
