Ed passed peacefully at his home on April 6th, with family at his side. Ed was a retired aeronautical engineer with a diversified career of design and project management. After spending his youth in Elsmere, NY, he graduated from the University Of Michigan where he earned numerous Honors and was a proud Phi Gamma Delta member. He enjoyed travel and toured the world over the years. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, sister and his wife of over 50 years, Verna King. He is survived by his loving children (Ted) Edward A. King III and Lesley King; grandsons Grant Smith, Sean King and Travis King; great-grandson Nathan King and a host of nieces and nephews. He was a loving and devoted father and husband, a deeply intellectual soul and one of the kindest people ever to live. The loss of this wonderful man aches in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. You will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church in Orinda, CA on Saturday August 3 at11:00 am.
