Obituary Condolences

Hollis George Franks Resident of Livermore Hollis George Franks passed on June 23rd, 2012 at his home in Livermore, CA at the age of 65. He was a CA native and raised in Livermore. Having served over a year in the Vietnam War, he earned 2 bronze stars (with Valor), a Purple Heart and a C.I.B. He continued to serve in the Army Reserve for more than 30 years. Hollis dedicated 40 years as a firefighter for Alameda County fire at Station 8. In his time serving he earned a metal of Valor along with numerous other awards, while saving lives on and off duty. Survived by his wife Mary Bell Franks, mother Norma Franks, brother Dennis Franks and his 4 children Rick Baumbach, Jennifer, Roger and Eric Franks. He touched many lives, made many friends and is leaving a legacy that will be hard to follow. Memorial services will be held Sat. June 30th at the LDS church in Livermore located at 1501 Hillcrest Ave. Condolences to the family - 9:00am (enter through the south entrance to the building) with services to begin at 10:00am., followed by a precession and grave yard service at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery on East Ave. at Noon.
