MARY MARGARET GLOVER

56 Year Resident of Richmond
Mary Margaret Glover, 84, passed away peacefully on July 19 at her home in Richmond. She was born and raised in Opelousas, Louisiana to Shelton and Ida Greenhouse. She graduated from Xavier University in New Orleans in 1950, and moved to the west coast in 1951, settling with her sister Rita in Berkeley. In 1952, she met her future husband Ephraim. They were married on Valentine's Day in 1953. The couple had six children, Jerry, Greg, Brian, Kevin (who preceded her in death), Karl, and Andrea. She had 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Many friends and family members came by to visit her in her last days, and she thoroughly enjoyed everyone's company.
Mary Margaret was a retired elementary school
, spending her career at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in Richmond. She and her husband Ephraim (who passed away in 2008) retired simultaneously in 1991. They enjoyed travelling and were able to see much of the United States, Europe and Asia, as well as trips to Tahiti and Hawaii. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Las Vegas in 2003 with all of their children, grandchildren, other family and friends.
Friends and family are invited to a Mass in her honor at St. Cornelius Church in Richmond on Tuesday, July 29 at 10:00AM. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in San Pablo. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the
