RICHARD D. ALLEE Obituary
Richard D. Allee Resident of Portland, Or. Richard passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012. He was born August 8th, 1936, to the late Enos and Pauline Duncan Allee. He graduated Belle Union High School in 1954 (playing in the famed 1954 basketball tournament from the movie "Hoosiers") before graduating in 1958 from Purdue University, where he served in the Army ROTC. After his honorable discharge at the rank of Captain, he embarked on a 35-year career at General Foods as a salesman. His easy smile, integrity and sense of humor were his calling card, and he was as hardworking a salesman as he was an Indiana farm boy. He was a giving father and loving husband, and we are grateful that he spent his final moments held tightly in the loving arms of his wife and best friend of 53+ years, Marcia. He is survived by his wife, Marcia Wilson Allee; sons Scott Allee of Portland and Kent Allee (Karla) of Rocklin, Calif.; grandsons Matthew and Joshua Allee; sisters Ann Weaver (Sam) of Eminence and Judith Allee of Coatesville; and several nieces and nephews. His burial will be in California.
