Samson Viramontes, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9th at his home with family by his side. The Lord blessed him and his devoted wife of 64 years, with a big loving family.
Sam was born in Los Angeles, Ca on Feb. 12, 1925, to Jesus & Rosa Viramontes. His family moved when he was young, to Antioch where he attended school. He joined the Air Force and served 3 years. After his honorable discharge, Sam came home where his met the love of his life, Victoria. He dedicated 42 years to the US Steel Mill, where he retired. He enjoyed spending his free time with family, playing cards, gardening and playing golf with his buddies.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and leaves behind wonderful memories to be cherished by his family and friends.
Waiting to greet Sam in heaven is his son Eddie, along with his parents, brothers, and sisters.
Sam will be missed by all who knew him, but especially his loving wife Victoria, his children Larry, Fred (Brenda), Regina (Kevin), David (Julie), and Victoria (John), his 16 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service and reception will be held at the VFW in Antioch on Sat. Nov. 23, at 12 pm, located at 815 Fulton Shipyard Rd, Antioch, CA.
