Tom passed away peacefully surrounded by family after complications that started with a broken hip from a fall. Born in Pittsburg, PA his family moved to Oakland, CA. After graduation from Oakland Tech High School, he joined the Army Air Force in 1943 and served on a B-17 crew. Attaining the rank of Sergeant, serving his country was one of his proudest moments.
Tom married his lifetime love, Virginia, in 1946. Tom spent his career as a Carpenter and Contractor earning his 50 year pin in the Carpenters Union. Over his career he built numerous commercial buildings and swimming pools in the East Bay.
As a 57 year resident of Pleasant Hill he is survived his wife of 67 years, Virginia, and his three children, Cathy Beemer, Tom Campbell (Sherry), and Patty Baillie, and seven grandchildren, Jamie deUriarte (Angela), Jon deUriarte, Heather Campbell Brittingham (John), Chris Campbell, Kerri Campbell, Ryan Baillie, and Tyler Baillie, and two great-grandchildren, Annmarie and Benjamin deUriarte.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at Christ the King Church, 199 Brandon Road, Pleasant Hill, CA on March 13th at 11:00AM
