Warren Myers Obituary
Warren Dudley Myers Resident of Walnut Creek Warren passed away of natural causes at age 87 on Sunday March 24 at his home with his family at his side. He was born in Santa Monica, CA. at 12:47 pm on Wednesday October 14, 1925 to Henry C. Myers and M. Winifred Myers weighing in at 8 lbs. 12 oz. He grew up in Santa Monica and graduated from Santa Monica High School class of 1943. He was inducted into military service on November 4, 1943 and joined the Army Air Force. He was an aviation cadet and qualified sharpshooter and served until he was honorably discharged on October 29, 1945. Warren graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1950. He was a Senior Research Chemist working in the Aerospace Industry for much of his career. He met his future wife while working at Hexel Corporation. He married his wife Gloria in 1957 and they had 4 children. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks for over 30 years. He enjoyed playing his harmonica, shooting pool, horse racing, hunting, fishing, playing bridge and pinochle, big band music and making pancakes & popcorn for his family. Warren is survived by his children Warren Myers II (Serena) of Camarillo; Louis Myers of Walnut Creek; David Myers (Jane) of Walnut Creek; Marilyn Myers of Antioch and 9 grandchildren. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Gloria and his older brother Lewis. A memorial service will be held Monday April 1, viewing starting at 10:00 am with service following at 11:00 am at Hull's Chapel, 1139 Saranap Ave., Walnut Creek. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Lafayette. A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 pm at his Elks Lodge, 1475 Creekside Drive, Walnut Creek. Warren touched many people and will be missed by all.
