William Edward Geyer Obituary
William Edward Geyer Dec. 18, 1946 - July 15, 2013 Resident of Livermore William Edward Geyer, 66, of Livermore passed away on Monday July 15 after a short battle with cancer. Bill was born to William Geyer Sr and Thelma Geyer in Pennsylvania, spending his youth traveling the world with a military family. He met his wife, Dianna, while Dad was stationed in Japan. Bill and his wife Dianna own Livermore Trophies & Tees , started in 1977, serving the local leagues and businesses and later expanding to a web business over the years. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Dianna, sons Jim (Krystal) of Livermore, Jerry (Stephanie) of Mill Valley and Mike ( Michelle) of Texarkana, Texas, his grandchildren Madalyn, Cameron, Jonathan and Stephen of Livermore, Jenna, Sara and Alyssa of Mill Valley and Jasmine of Texarkana, TX. He also leaves his sister Linda Webb of Livermore, brother Bob (Marilee) of Scotts Valley and extended family in Pennsylvania. Over 27 years ago Bill was given the gift of life from a 19 year old man whose family made the decision to donate his organs, with Bill receiving his heart and others also being saved by his gift. Over those years Bill was able to see all three sons graduate, marry and produce a total of 8 loving grandchildren, blessing him with many beautiful memories. Besides his family loves, Bill was a baseball coach and umpire, basketball coach, softball and soccer player, Sharks, Raiders and A's fan, Alameda County Sheriff's Search and Rescue, and a longtime member of the Livermore Rotary Club, Leadfinders and Livermore Chamber of Commerce. In addition he participated in yearly events with other Transplant recipients, inspiring and encouraging them with his wit, advice and longevity. There will be a viewing at Callaghan Mortuary on Thursday July 17 from 5-7PM. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday July 18 at 11 AM at the First Presbyterian Church on 4th Street with a private burial.
